Anatomy of Silence-Why I Wrote This Book

Anatomy of Silence – Why I Wrote This Book

Some books are born from an idea. Others are born from necessity.

“Anatomy of Silence” belongs to the second kind.

I did not write this book to explain something to the world. I wrote it to understand the silence that was growing within me. During the four years in which this book was being created, life did not slow down. On the contrary , it moved, shifted, broke apart, and opened new questions.Between the paintings I was creating, the travels, exhibitions, and inner reflections, fragments of text began to appear.
They were never intended to become a book. They were attempts to capture what usually remains unspoken.

The silence between thoughts.
The silence after realization.
The silence in which a person stands alone with themselves.

In those moments I began to understand that silence is not emptiness.

It is a space.

A space where thought exists before words.
A space where a person encounters their own inner landscape.
A space where light becomes visible only after passing through darkness.

For that reason, “Anatomy of Silence” is not a conventional poetry book. It is a map of inner states. Each text in this book was written at a moment when it became necessary to pause. To listen to what was happening beneath the surface of everyday life.

I wrote it slowly. Sometimes in a single night of clarity. Sometimes after months of silence. Some texts emerged as answers to questions I did not yet know how to ask. Others were written in moments of inner fracture. And some came from rare moments of stillness  those moments when a person feels completely at peace with themselves.

In that sense, this book is also a document of an inner journey. A journey through consciousness. Through the shadows and the light that each of us carries. Looking at these texts today, I see traces of the time in which they were written.I see the silences that shaped me.
And I see how necessary it sometimes is to stop in order to hear ourselves again.

If this book awakens even a single moment of such silence in someone, a moment in which a person returns to themselves , then it has fulfilled its purpose.

Because silence is never the absence of life.

Silence is the place where life begins to speak.
